aka Music from the Rainbow Room
...Is a 'small big band', consisting of one trumpet, one trombone, one alto saxophone, one baritone saxophone (doubling tenor saxophone), guitar, vibraphone, bass, and drum. Bob leads the band and plays clarinet and tenor saxophone. Sometimes, a vocalist is added, for a total of ten musicians.
With this group, Bob plays his hottest Jive at the Cat Club, and at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks and Rangers.
Bob loves the process of orchestrating for new groups of musicians,assembling and rehearsing the individual musicians, and creating music for new and different occasions.
