Music Played by The New York Dance Band Orchestra
I have had many requests for lyrics of songs that we play. Inasmuch as I would love to be able to provide you with them, I haven't the time to respond to your requests and write and perform music as well. I would suggest that you find one of the many good lyrics sites for this purpose. Of course, if you would like to HEAR this music played, we will be more than happy to provide you with the finest rendering of any or all the songs listed here at this site. Enjoy browsing. We are happy you came !
Usually, forty library selections are played in an evening, because of intermissions,
added 'head arrangements', speeches, dinner service, etc., etc.
But the question: WHICH forty will be used? And in which sequence! remains
unanswered until the requests of my employers, the number and abilities of the musicians,
the preferences and abilities of the dancers, the timing of the dinner service,
etc., etc. become known.
Adding obfuscation to confusion, the Bob January Orchestra is, in reality, four or five different groups of musicians, having many musicians in common, and each including Bob, who always appears with each group. Several of Bob's regular musicians appear with every group, and alter their playing style to fit the group. And each group has its own library and playlist.
